Or people who just don't like pvp, big shock, not everyone likes the same things you do, isn't that something? That's why the game needs options, for those that like to pvp and those who do not, nothing is lost by giving everyone what they want, The only reason people have an issue with a concept like this is because they'd rather face off against people who don't care to pvp and not face off against other pvpers who will wipe the floor with them. Ursprünglich geschrieben von Dixie Biscuit: I can't say a singleplayer DZ instance would be balanced/fun in the long run but there definitelly needs to be other options to gear up and enjoy the game without all the craziness behind the DZ right now. and that automatically forces people into this crazy pvp/grief zone. Granted, most of the times that happens I manage to find ways to kill them back or make their profit as miserably negative as I can, but it's still annoying regardless.Ĭurrently, if the blueprints don't have the gear/weapon you want you are forced to go in the DZ and hope for luck with the loot that drops and their rolls. I'm there trying to farm for the last yellows / ilvl31s I want or need and there they are, the bloody ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that got nothing better to do other than groupjerk-themselves off in a 4v1. I don't PvP unless forced to or some rogue is in the immediate vicinity) and I find myself forced to fight groups of people that find it funny to gank on others for whatever reason even if I dont have loot. I myself sometimes enter the DZ with the pure intent on farming bosses (well, that's always my intent. I can see where the complaints are coming from that people want their loot, extract, and have fun checking what they got not fighting jerks over keys or whatever. While the system is, in some areas, fun. Yesterday I faked being afk while standing in an extraction area and sure enough some dude tried his luck - he died like a moron, didn't even chip 1/3rd of my hp took his loot and extracted it alongside mine. Playing Solo in the DZ isn't hard, you just can't ever turn off your brain like most casuals do nowadays while playing a game.īe on constant alert, be aware of your surroundings, NEVER allow yourself to be seen by other players or groups unless you are ready for a possible rogue outcome, If you must extract and people have seen you in the area, play dumb/afk. I thought about this for a while and couldnt think of any simple fix for that particular situation. It's just enough to reach your point of death and not too long that waiting for the items to clear up becomes grating for other agents.īut what if a non-SWM agent goes for the items? Well, in that case the dead player is screwed. The latter can be dealth with through the use of a timer: 3 Minutes is what I think would be best. The "cannot loot items dropped by other agents on death" has it's own issues, though: What if a player quits after death? What if he never returns to reclaim his items? The former can be adressed by making the items available for pickup the moment the dead player logs off. This would leave the level of tension when spotting other agents the same as it is now. SWM and oher agents would still share the same map, though. They can then prepare accordingly.Īdditionally, adding an option to team up with other agents in the safe zones would reinforce the idea of the Division Agents wokring together for the greater good PVP players would be able to more easily identify other agents willing to engage them. The idea is that loyal agents, as opposed to rogues, will not steal their fellow combatants dropped gear and will support one another in the field. "Non-hostile agent" Would be used by this mode, non-users will be tagged as "potential rogue", or something less threating, such as "Data Unavailable", to go hand-in-hand with the SHADE tech idea Can use any support ability to work alongside other agents in SWM Mode can be toggled in DZ safe zones only Cannot loot items dropped by other agents Can not attack other agents, cannot be damaged by other agents To adress this I would like to suggest introducing a new mode, which would allow PVP players and PVE players to go their separate ways, without crippling gameplay restrictions: I love the PVE aspects of this game and feel that the PVP is omething best left to players who actually get enjoyment out of it. So, I personally like the DZ, but hate getting mowed down by groups of players with superior gear every 20 minutes.
